Sveio, midway between Bergen and Stavanger.
The E-39 highway runs through Sveio Commune
while much of the region’s boat traffic
plies the Sveio coastline, crossing the
waters of Sletten near Ryvarden Lighthouse
and along the side of Bomløfjorden
Fjord. Sveio links Sunnhordland and Haugalandet
together, creating one large region. The
beauty of Sveio is its close proximity to
both town and country.
In Sveio, one has easy access to the great
outdoors, either on land or at sea. There
is excellent hiking terrain with many marked
and unmarked trails. The geology of the
commune means that Sveio is a peninsula
with a long strip of coastline and many
lakes making it an ideal location for recreational
activities involving water.
Sveio is a great commune to live in or to
visit as a guest. There are plenty of experiences
to be had, which this photo tour will show
you.
