Karmøy Youth Hostel is located approximately 100 metres from Karmøy’s only tunnel, in a beautiful and well-maintained arboretum featuring more than 150 different plant species. The accommodation quarters contain 55 well-lit, cosy rooms. Karmøy Country School is run as a youth hostel during the period 25th May to 10th August.

For the rest of the year, the school is full of energetic young people. Our school has plenty to offer the potential student: Study trips at home and abroad, a wide range of short courses and other events.

Karmøy features genuine coastal culture, a dramatic open sea, white sandy beaches and an exciting history. Karmøy is also Norway’s most densely populated island with 38 000 inhabitants. Even if we are many, we still have time to take care of our heritage.
