Bokn is situated half-way between Haugesund and
Stavanger and is within easy reach of two large
job markets. One can also participate in the cultural
activities of these nearby urban areas.
Bokn is a sound environment to grow up in,
and there are many recreational activities such
as sea angling, lake fishing, football, and
music that one can participate in.
Bokn Commune has a population of approximately
800, something that results in a natural bond
between people. There is an excellent school
and kindergarten environment on Bokn
As of autumn 2004, Bokn Commune has designated
two municipal housing areas, both of which have
available plots: Oyrenfeltet at Austre Bokn,
and the area opposite the town hall in Føresvik.
A plot price-rebate system has been established
for both places.
