Haugesunds Avis
– Haugesund’s quality daily newspaper
– is a leading media outlet for the whole
of the Haugalandet area, the southern parts
of Sunnhordland and the inner regions of Indre
Ryfylke. The paper is distributed daily, 6 days
per week. Audited circulation is 34 811. Haugesunds
Avis reaches a daily readership of 83 000 and
a weekly readership of 105 000.
Every Saturday, Haugesunds Avis
publishes the weekend magazine, “Lørdag”.
On Karmøy, the paper publishes a local
edition for its subscribers. Haugesunds Avis
is also part owner of three other local papers:
Vestavind and Grannar, and Karmsund, a free
newspaper.
Haugesunds Avis is also
the majority shareholder in Radio 102 –
Norway’s most popular local radio station.
In addition, Haugesunds Avis runs the district’s
largest net portal with 61 000 unique users
and over 1 million hits.
