Haugalandet and the people who live here are important
to us. Our goal is provide “power”
to the region through active engagement, environmentally
sound, forward looking energy supplies and infrastructure.
Our customers live and
work in one of Norway’s most dynamic and
productive regions, a region that is characterised
by shipping and engineering industries with
strong roots. Northern Europe’s largest
aluminium works is located on Karmøy,
while in Sauda there is a substantial smelting
industry, and west, out to sea, huge reserves
of oil and gas are piped up continuously. As
a spin off to the oil recovery in the North
Sea, a whole cluster of oil related businesses
and services has grown up. Additionally, the
region is home to Northern Europe’s most
modern fisheries harbour, something that augments
the significant fisheries industry. These are
customers that are dependent upon a continued
high quality supply of electricity, a supply
we shall ensure they receive.
